It is a small paper theatre (Théâtre Mechanique) with four sceneries and background. A situation from the Russian-Turkish war 1877/78 is shown there, the crossing of the Danube by Russian troops. The figures (infantry, cavalry, artillery, boats) can be moved by cardboard strips between the sceneries.
